Otto365 AI Brief #031
Apple: an AI assistant inside Pages, Keynote and Numbers
What happened
Apple's work apps get an AI assistant, with a UK catch. Apple announced AI features for Apple Creator Studio on the 27th of October 2026. They arrive in November 2026, free for existing subscribers, led by a beta assistant in Keynote, Pages and Numbers.1
Three things to know
- Assistant: Nov 2026 First, the assistant, built on Apple models and OpenAI, understands your document. In Keynote it designs and animates slides, in Pages it drafts and restructures text, in Numbers it calculates and recommends chart types.1
- MCP agents: macOS 27 Second, Model Context Protocol support, or MCP. External AI agents and tools can read, edit and run automated actions in Keynote, Pages and Numbers, on macOS 27 or later.1
- Generate Fill in images Third, Pixelmator Pro adds Generate Fill. Circle an area, describe the change, and it matches the surrounding lighting, perspective and texture. New subscribers pay $12.99 a month or $129 a year.1
Why it matters to you
Otto365's take (opinion)
So, my take. Office apps are heading towards agents working inside your slides and spreadsheets, worth a look for UK firms living in Pages and Keynote. But it is US English only, on Apple Intelligence-capable devices running iOS 27, iPadOS 27 or macOS 27.1
